Legal, Privacy & Cookies

This page explains who operates this landing page, how its content may be used, what information it collects and the choices available to visitors.

Last updated 3 September 2026

1. Site operator and contact

This UK and Ireland landing page is operated for WLS Systems. For website, privacy or rights enquiries, contact Samuel McKay at samuelmckay728@icloud.com or 07708 379255.

WLS Systems’ global office and manufacturing contact details are available on the landing page. Nothing on this page describes WLS Systems as a UK-incorporated limited company unless confirmed statutory particulars are displayed.

2. Website terms and project information

The site provides general information about WLS Systems, architectural glazing systems and manufacturing capability. It is not a project specification, professional design advice, certification, quotation, warranty or guarantee of availability or performance.

Product figures, classifications, compliance requirements and system suitability must be confirmed for the exact product, configuration, jurisdiction and project using current technical documents and written project review. Sending a project brief does not create a contract or commit either party to price, manufacture or delivery. Any agreement arises only through separately accepted written terms.

Visitors must not use the site unlawfully, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, interfere with its operation or use automated extraction in a way that overloads the service or evades access controls.

WLS takes reasonable care over the site but does not promise that general website information is complete, current, uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that safeguard and to the extent permitted by law, WLS is not responsible for indirect or consequential business loss arising solely from use of, inability to use or reliance on this general website content. Mandatory legal rights and remedies remain unaffected.

3. Intellectual property and permitted use

Copyright and other rights in original copy, layouts, interface elements, code, graphics, photographs, video, audio and databases belong to WLS Systems and/or the relevant creator or licensor, as applicable. Third-party material remains the property of its owner. No notice on this site claims rights that WLS Systems does not own or license.

Visitors may view the site for legitimate personal or business evaluation. Except where applicable law expressly permits or written permission has been granted, visitors must not:

  • download, rip, record, copy, scrape or extract site media or music;
  • re-upload, redistribute, sell, sublicense, broadcast or publicly perform it;
  • sample, remix, synchronise or place it in another website, app, film or advertisement;
  • use WLS material to train or evaluate an AI system or build a competing service; or
  • copy the distinctive WLS Soundscape interface, branding or curated presentation.

WLS Soundscape™ identifies the optional music-while-browsing experience. The ™ symbol denotes an unregistered trade mark and does not represent UK trade-mark registration. Listening through this site gives a limited permission to stream the selected track while browsing; it does not transfer ownership or grant a reuse licence. Nothing here restricts fair dealing or another right that applicable law does not allow the site operator to exclude.

4. Third-party content and links

Product-system names, trade marks, external websites and third-party material remain subject to their owners’ rights and terms. Their appearance does not by itself claim a partnership, approval or endorsement. Links to Suno, YouTube, LinkedIn, Google Maps and other services are provided for convenience; those services control their own content and privacy practices.

WLS Soundscape uses manually curated tracks with clear Suno attribution. External YouTube players are not loaded until a visitor chooses to play one. Selecting external media may allow that provider to receive technical information and use storage technologies under its own terms.

5. Privacy notice

WLS Systems is responsible for deciding how personal information submitted directly through this landing page is used. The UK and Ireland privacy contact is Samuel McKay using the contact details above.

Information collected and why

  • Project briefs: system interest, project name and location, stage, programme, drawings status, contact name, company, email, phone and notes supplied by the visitor. WLS uses this to respond, assess the opportunity and take requested steps before a possible business agreement. The legal basis is legitimate interests in handling business enquiries and, where applicable, steps requested before a contract.
  • Limited site analytics: page or section viewed, action selected, referring domain, campaign label and broad device category. WLS uses this only to produce site-level statistics and improve the landing page. The WLS analytics database does not assign a visitor identifier or store the raw IP address or full browser user-agent string.
  • Technical and security data: the hosting and infrastructure providers may process standard request, device and network information needed to deliver, secure and troubleshoot the service.

Project-brief details are not added to a general marketing list through this form and are not used to build advertising profiles. The site does not make automated decisions about visitors. A submitted location may create a city- or region-level radar signal for up to 7 days; the public signal does not include the visitor’s name, company, email, phone, notes or project name.

Sharing and international support

Access to project briefs is restricted to authorised WLS personnel and service providers that host, secure or support the site. The site does not automatically send project-brief contact details to Suno, YouTube, LinkedIn or Google. If a project later requires support from a WLS team or service provider outside the UK or Ireland, WLS will share only what is necessary and apply any transfer safeguards required by applicable data-protection law. Information about those safeguards can be requested using the privacy contact above.

Retention

Limited analytics event records are retained for no more than 90 days. Project briefs are retained in the website enquiry system for no more than 24 months. If an enquiry becomes an active quotation, contract or legal record, relevant information may be moved into the appropriate business record and kept for the period required for that purpose or by law.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or withdrawal of consent where consent applies. You may also object to processing based on legitimate interests.

Your right to object: you can object at any time to WLS using your personal information for direct marketing, and you can object to other legitimate-interests processing based on your situation. Use the privacy contact above. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office or, where relevant in Ireland, the Data Protection Commission.

The required project-brief fields are marked in the form. You do not have to submit a brief, but WLS cannot respond through that route without the required contact and project information. Please do not place special-category personal data, passwords, payment details or unrelated confidential information in the notes field.

6. Cookies, local storage and analytics choice

WLS’s site code does not set advertising cookies or use cross-site visitor identifiers. It uses browser local storage to remember the visitor’s chosen theme and language, their last position on the landing page, maintain a clean application cache and remember the analytics choice below. The saved page position is used only to return that browser to where it left off. Theme and language can be changed through the visible site controls.

The limited first-party analytics described above are used only to understand overall site use and improve the service. They are not shared for advertising, used to follow visitors across websites or used to identify a person. Turning analytics off stops future WLS usage events from that browser; previous records cannot be connected to the choice because WLS does not assign a visitor identifier.

7. Security, changes and reporting

WLS applies access controls and proportionate technical safeguards to the website and enquiry system. No internet service can be guaranteed completely secure. Please report a suspected data issue, security concern, copying or unauthorised use promptly using the contact details above. For an intellectual-property report, include the page URL, material involved and any useful screenshots or dates.

This notice may be updated when the site, its providers or legal requirements change. The current version and update date will remain available on this page.
